Browsing and search
This version has no advertising trackers or behavioural analytics. Directory searching happens in your browser after the public search index loads. Search terms and filters appear in the page URL, so they may remain in your browser history or be shared when you copy a link.
The application does not log search terms. Hosting providers may process connection information and request URLs as part of delivering the site. The public site uses Cloudflare to deliver pages and protect access. Turnstile is used when an enabled form requires a security check. Cloudflare may process device and connection information for security.
Directory information and access protection
Published directory information can be read and copied by anyone given access. We minimise location details for community services, but a public directory cannot prevent all scraping. Contact us to request a correction or removal. While private access is enabled, security cookies support sign-in. The shared-password gate stores hashed attempt identifiers and short-lived counters, not raw passwords or IP addresses. Cloudflare Access has its own session controls.
Suggestions and corrections
Suggestion forms are currently closed. Please use [email protected] for corrections and [email protected] for privacy or removal requests. Include only the listing link and the information needed to handle your request. Do not email private access instructions or sensitive personal histories.
Optional family enquiries — currently closed
We are preparing an optional parent/guardian enquiry form. It is not currently collecting family enquiries. Before it opens, the notice beside the form will identify the details collected and how they are used.
The proposed form requires only a parent or guardian’s first name, last name and email. Children’s first names and age bands or school years are optional. We also record the required parent/guardian confirmation and the separate KTC consent choice, exact wording/version and submission timestamp.
My Jewish Sydney will use enquiries to respond and help families find relevant community services. Submitting an enquiry will not subscribe you to marketing. A separate, unticked checkbox will ask whether we may share the supplied information with Kesser Torah College for relevant school and community opportunities. General enquiries will not be referred without that affirmative consent. No KTC transfer is currently enabled.
The planned storage is a separate private Cloudflare D1 database, outside the public directory and its Google Sheets listing source. Family information will not be published, placed in search indexes or used for behavioural analytics. Cloudflare hosting and Turnstile process connection/security information; their global services may process information outside Australia. We have not established an Australia-only processing guarantee. No family data is routed to Google Sheets.
The proposed retention limit is 90 days from submission, shortened if appropriate after resolution. Daily cleanup must be verified before intake opens. Minimal submission identifiers, action timestamps and deletion/withdrawal markers will support auditing and prevent old backups from restoring a referral permission. Recovery backups may temporarily retain deleted data. The recovery window and marker-expiry procedure must be verified before activation.
Email [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of referral consent, or make a privacy complaint. We will verify the request proportionately without requesting unnecessary identity documents. Where information has already been shared, we will coordinate correction or deletion with KTC; deleting our copy does not itself erase their copy. The nominated privacy owner will assess complaints and respond directly.
